Microphone and speakers are not detected in Mikogo

If you can't host or join a voice conference because your microphone and speakers can’t be detected in Mikogo, this might be related to your system username. Issues can occur if the username that you sign into your Windows profile with contains special characters such as:

  • German umlauts: ä, ö, ü, ß
  • Scandinavian characters: å, Å, æ, Æ, ø, Ø
  • Baltic, Slavic or Cyrillic script
  • Certain Asian characters

 As a temporary workaround, we suggest adjusting your Windows sign-in name so that it only consists of standard ASCII characters. This issue will be fixed in an upcoming release.
